শিশু মনকে গুরুত্ব দিতেন প্রিয় নবী।

প্রিয় রাসুলুল্লাহ (সাঃ) এর সাথে শিশুদের সদা সুসম্পর্কছিলো, একদা এক সাহাবীর বাসায় বেড়াতে যেয়ে তিনি লক্ষ্য করলেন সাহাবী-র শিশুটির মন খুবই খারাপ, কারন তার পালিত চড়ুই পাখিটি মারা গেছে; তিনি মমতাভরে বাচ্চাটিকে কাছে টেনে চড়ুই বিষয়ে জিজ্ঞেস করলেন ও বোঝালেন —যুদ্ধে কক্ষনোই শিশুদের টার্গেট করা যাবেনা, ইহাই ছিলো প্রিয় নবী-র শিক্ষা, কিন্তু বর্তমানের যুদ্ধের যেন মূল লক্ষ্যবস্তুই শিশু ও তাদের বিদ্যালয়, বিনোদন কেন্দ্র, এমনি শিশুদের হাসপাতাল, ৯০ দশকে আমেরিকার ইরাক আক্রমণে অগনিত শিশুর প্রাণ গিয়েছিলো, তেমনিভাবে প্রতিটি যুদ্ধে হাজার শিশুর প্রাণ যায়, চলমান রাশিয়া -ইউক্রেন যুদ্ধেও শিশুরা মারা যাচ্ছে, অথচ রাসুলুল্লাহ (সাঃ) এর স্পষ্ট হাদিস রয়েছে, বার্ধক্যে উপনীত বৃদ্ধ, অবলা মহিলা, শিশু কাউকেই যুদ্ধের বলি করা যাবেনা। জাতিসংঘ একবিংশ শতাব্দীতে এসে চেষ্টা করছে যেনো যুদ্ধে শিশুদের সুরক্ষার ক্ষেত্রে উভয় পক্ষ সহনশীল ও বিবেকবান হয়। The Prophet s.a.w. would kiss and embrace children often, as an expression of his tender love and mercy towards them. In this hadith about children. Abu Huraira r.a. reported that al-Aqra’ bin Habis saw Allah’s Messenger s.a.w kissing Al-Hassan (the Prophet’s grandson). He (al-Aqra’) said: “I have ten children, but I have never kissed any of them”. Whereupon Allah’s Messenger s.a.w. replied:إِنَّهُ مَنْ لاَ يَرْحَمْ لاَ يُرْحَمْ ’He who does not show mercy (towards his children), no mercy would be shown to him.”Anas bin Malik r.a said: “The Messenger of Allah s.a.w used to come to visit us. I had a younger brother who was called Abu ‘Umair by nickname (kunyah). He had a sparrow which he played with, but it died. So one day the Prophet s.a.w came to see him and saw him grieving. He asked: ‘What is the matter with him?’ The people replied: ‘His sparrow has died.’ He (the Prophet s.a.w) then said: ‘Oh Abu ‘Umair! What has happened to the little sparrow?'” (Sunan Abi Daud)According to what Hz. Anas narrates, the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) addressed the soldiers who were going to war as follows:“Go in Allah’s name, trusting in Allah, and adhering to the religion of the Messenger of Allah. Do not kill a decrepit old man, or a young infant, or a child, or a woman; do not be dishonest about booty, but collect your spoils, do right and act well, for Allah loves those who do well.”(Abu Dawud, Jihad, 90; Naylu’l-Awtar,7/246)
